About Us

We all know the excitement of getting accepted to an HBCU. However, one of the first questions we may ask is “How will I pay for my tuition”? For most, taking out student loans is the only way to make college affordable. 558 Scholarship Foundation was founded to provide scholarships to Black college students attending HBCUs to help them cover the cost of tuition.

My Story

I graduated from Southern University and A&M College with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. With the financial support I received from multiple scholarships, I was able to graduate college debt-free! The cost of college education is increasing and covering these costs is difficult. I created 558 Scholarship Foundation to help alleviate the financial stress on students while they're in school and after graduation by minimizing their student loan repayments. My goal is to have these scholarships help students achieve their academic and career goals. As an alumna of Southern University, I want to give back to the community I was once a part of.
